Grealish Joins Everton On Loan From Man City

Jack Grealish is set to join Everton on a season-long loan from Manchester City, with the 29-year-old midfielder seeking to revive his career after falling out of favour under Pep Guardiola. The move is expected to be completed in time for Everton's Premier League opener at Leeds, with Grealish due to undergo a medical on Monday.

Manchester City are looking to recoup most of Grealish's £300,000-a-week wages, and Everton's total outlay could exceed £12m including a loan fee. City also want an option for a permanent transfer, though the suggested £50m price tag is considered optimistic given Grealish will be 30 and in the final year of his contract next summer. However, City's financial demands are unlikely to block the deal.

Grealish, a £100m signing from Aston Villa, has had several offers to leave City this summer. He missed out on England's squad for Euro 2024 after losing his regular first-team place, making only seven Premier League starts last season and scoring once. He was also omitted from City's squad for the Club World Cup this summer.

Everton manager David Moyes is desperate to add creativity to his side. The club have made five signings, including Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall from Chelsea for £28m, but remain short of attacking options. Southampton have rejected three offers for Tyler Dibling, the latest around £40m, and are holding out for £50m. A right-sided forward remains a priority.

Meanwhile, Nottingham Forest are close to signing midfielder James McAtee from City for an increased bid after an initial £25m offer was rejected. McAtee, 21, won the European Under-21 Championship with England but is not in Guardiola's plans. Forest are also interested in Monaco's Soungoutou Magassa, Milan's Yunus Musah, and Liverpool's Kostas Tsimikas.

City winger Savinho could also leave, with Tottenham registering interest. Spurs are seeking attacking reinforcements after missing out on Morgan Gibbs-White and losing James Maddison to injury. City may use any outgoings to fund a move for RB Leipzig's Xavi Simons, amid Chelsea's stalled pursuit of the Dutch international.
