Jack Grealish missed Manchester City's Premier League game at Crystal Palace on Friday evening amid ongoing uncertainty around his future. The 30-year-old is expected to leave the club either on loan or permanently before the transfer window closes on Tuesday, yet he had been involved in City's previous two matches.
Grealish's recent involvement
Grealish came off the bench against Arsenal in the Community Shield and again in the late Premier League win over Bournemouth last weekend. He has continued to train with the first team, but has interest from former club Aston Villa and Everton, where he spent last season on loan, ahead of the summer transfer deadline.
City are looking to sign Iliman Ndiaye from Everton as they aim to add another forward to their squad in the coming days. Liverpool's Cody Gakpo is also an option, while Chelsea's £100m price tag for Pedro Neto appears to have ended City's interest there.
Nunes ruled out
The Blues are not expected to sign a right-back, but were missing Matheus Nunes for the trip to Selhurst Park. Nunes pulled up with an issue in the warm-up for the Community Shield but looked good off the bench against Bournemouth last week.
Manager Enzo Maresca described him as a doubt for the game, and the Portugal international misses out completely. Abdukodir Khusanov was included in the team ahead of Rico Lewis, with Khusanov one of the reasons City shelved plans to sign another right-back this summer.
