Oliver Glasner has suggested he could leave Crystal Palace just days before the 2025/26 Premier League season, expressing frustration over the club's lack of transfer activity. The Austrian manager has made his discontent clear both privately and publicly, as key players like Marc Guehi, Jean-Philippe Mateta, Adam Wharton and Eberechi Eze are linked with exits.
With Arsenal, Liverpool, Tottenham and Manchester United eyeing Palace stars, the club has signed only Walter Benitez on a free transfer and Borna Sosa for £3 million. Glasner had pushed for early arrivals to integrate new signings during pre-season, but his pleas have been ignored.
Asked if he might follow Guehi out of Selhurst Park next summer, Glasner quipped: 'Marc and me, we have the same fate.' When pressed on whether the lack of spending would affect his future, he replied: 'We will see.' He added: 'If we want to be better than last year, it's my advice, “Let's sign at least two players”. To be competitive in four competitions. If somebody thinks that's nonsense, OK, let's see.'
Glasner stressed: 'If Crystal Palace wants to play European football, wants to climb the Premier League table and reproduce the success again, it's just what you have to do. We are short of numbers, we have to add players, especially with quality.'
