Glasner Stands By Emotional Outburst
The Crystal Palace boss does not regret his passionate comments made after his side's recent defeat to Sunderland, a match which coincided with captain Marc Guehi's imminent departure to Manchester City. Glasner described feeling "abandoned" and lacking "support" during that period, comments which prompted chairman Steve Parish to reportedly consider the manager's position.
"No, I don't regret it," Glasner stated unequivocally. "Do I think it was the best way? No, I don't think so, but that's Oliver Glasner. I think it's also a part of what we achieved together, that I'm that emotional. I think it helps to create the spirit, that togetherness, that belief."

The 51-year-old manager revealed he has since held extensive talks with co-owner Steve Parish to resolve any tensions. The pair enjoyed a "very long dinner" together which Glasner described as a "very, very good talk for both of us."
Despite this reconciliation, Glasner confirmed that "nothing changed" regarding his previously announced decision to leave the club when his contract expires this summer. "I know that Crystal Palace will always sell players if they have big offers from other clubs," Glasner explained, "but it was just the situation, telling the team 28 hours before a Premier League game that the captain is leaving. This was my feeling at that moment."
