Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho found himself in hot water after he appeared to edit out a vape from an Instagram post during the club's FA Cup quarter-final against Fulham. The Argentine, who missed the match due to injury, initially uploaded a picture of his TV screen with the caption 'Let's go guys!' but eagle-eyed fans spotted a green 'Elux Legend 3500' vape on the sofa.
The post was quickly deleted and re-uploaded, with the vape mysteriously missing in the second image. However, supporters had already screen-shotted the original and shared it on Twitter, sparking a social media storm.
The incident could now require an explanation to manager Erik ten Hag, although there is no indication that the vape belonged to Garnacho himself. The 18-year-old has enjoyed a breakthrough season at Old Trafford, scoring winners against Real Sociedad and Fulham earlier in the campaign.
Garnacho is currently sidelined with an injury sustained in the draw with Southampton, and was seen on crutches wearing a protective boot. United went on to beat Fulham 3-1, setting up a semi-final clash with Brighton at Wembley.
