Tottenham Hotspur boss Thomas Frank has confirmed that Dominic Solanke has undergone surgery on an ankle injury, with the striker's return timeline unclear. The 27-year-old has not featured for Spurs since before the September international break, despite returning to training at Hotspur Way.
Solanke was absent from the squad that drew 1-1 with Wolves in the Premier League at the weekend. Frank revealed the decision for minor surgery after the striker continued to experience discomfort. “Dom we know got that ankle issue that's been bothering him for a little while. Alongside Solanke, Randal Kolo Muani and Cristian Romero missed the final training session before the Champions League clash against Bodo/Glimt, but Frank confirmed both should be available. James Maddison and Dejan Kulusevski remain sidelined with lengthy injuries, while Radu Dragusin has returned to training after several months out with an ACL injury.
Ben Davies, Kota Takai, and Yves Bissouma are nursing minor issues, and Pape Matar Sarr, who provided an assist against Wolves after recovering from a slight problem, is available. Pedro Porro was rested at the weekend and could start in Norway on Tuesday.
