The weekly Name the Football Star quiz is back, giving football fans the chance to test their knowledge by identifying famous players from limited clues.
Players must be recognised using only their senior career clubs, number of appearances and goals scored, as shown on their Wikipedia profile. Nationality and position are not revealed.
How the quiz works
Participants are given a list of clubs, appearances and goals for each of five footballers. The challenge is to name the player based on that information alone.
Answers can be submitted using a player's full name or just their first or last name. Misspellings will result in a fail for that question.
Players featured this week
This week's quiz includes a World Cup hero who married the most beautiful woman in his country, one of the Premier League's top strikers, a wing wizard who flopped at Manchester United, a Championship goal machine and a play-off pantomime villain.
The quiz is available to Star Gold premium subscribers, with the interactive version appearing above the article. A link is also provided for those unable to see it.
Readers are invited to share their scores in the comments section and challenge friends and family to beat them. The quiz returns every Monday.
