Florian Wirtz has opened up about his difficult start at Liverpool following his high-profile £116 million transfer from Bayer Leverkusen. The German midfielder admitted he initially found it hard to settle in the Premier League but now feels he has turned a corner.

Speaking to TNT Sports, Wirtz said: 'I know that they paid a lot for me. It was a difficult start because I wanted to impact the team immediately. I have to accept it, I'm feeling very good now on a physical level. I'm feeling good in England now because this was a big change for me.'
