Fernandes likes pointed Instagram post after Man Utd benching

Bruno Fernandes has liked an Instagram reel that hints at his feelings towards Michael Carrick. The Manchester United captain was left on the bench in the 3-0 defeat to Bournemouth and afterwards liked a social media post stating: "Never push a loyal person to the point they no longer care."

What the video shows

The video itself is also telling of Fernandes' feelings, depicting a rock figure trying to stop a huge boulder from crushing a small town. After being struck by missiles from the town, the figure stops holding the large object and lets it wipe out the town into the sea.

It could be inferred from the clip that Fernandes feels he has stopped United from crumbling but has finally had enough due to being attacked by the thing he is trying to help.

Background to the benching

After criticising United's tactics in the Champions League loss to Como, Fernandes was dropped from the starting XI and did not come on this past weekend despite his side being behind.

Another humbling defeat has left Carrick on the verge of being sacked, with United seventeenth in the Premier League table.
