Chelsea secured a comfortable 4-0 victory over Hull City in the FA Cup fourth round on Saturday, with Pedro Neto scoring a hat-trick and Liam Delap providing three assists. The win ensured Chelsea's progression to the fifth round.
Neto opened the scoring in the first half and added two more after the break, including a goal from a corner. Delap, despite missing several chances in the first half, turned provider with three assists.
Speaking after the match, Delap praised Neto: 'Pedro Neto is an incredible player. He is playing in a position he is not even used to but he showed his quality.' Delap also admitted he thought his shot had gone in on one occasion. Neto said: 'I think the most important one is enjoy it. Winning is really important as well.'
Earlier in the match, an announcement was made at the stadium warning that discriminatory language would not be tolerated, with CCTV in operation and arrests possible. Late in the game, young debutant Jesse Derry came on for Chelsea, while Hull's Joe Gelhardt was booked for a late challenge.
The victory marked a successful return for Chelsea coach Liam Rosenior, who had previously played for Hull City. Chelsea will now await the fifth-round draw.
