Fawaz Al-Hasawi, the former owner of Nottingham Forest, was stabbed during a home invasion at his Mayfair residence earlier this month, according to reports.
The 57-year-old Kuwaiti businessman was asleep when masked robbers entered his bedroom. He sustained stab wounds to his hands and neck in the confrontation. His injuries were not life-threatening, the Metropolitan Police confirmed.
Al-Hasawi owned the Premier League club from 2012 to 2017, a period marked by frequent managerial changes. He sold the club to current owner Evangelos Marinakis, under whom Forest returned to the top flight in 2022.
It remains unclear if any items were stolen during the raid, and police inquiries are ongoing.
