Thomas Tuchel has rung the changes for England's Nations League match against the Czech Republic, with Alex Scott and Ezri Konsa both withdrawing through injury.
Tuchel felt the four days between last Tuesday's 2-0 win in Prague and Saturday's 7-0 victory over Croatia gave the squad just the right amount of recovery time without the risk of fatigue.
Team news and injury blows
There is no Scott, who dazzled on his first senior England start in Rijeka, or Konsa, who played 90 minutes against Croatia after sitting out the win over the Czech Republic, after both withdrew from the squad on Monday.
Scott could reportedly now be sidelined for up to two months, while Konsa has returned to Arsenal for treatment on an unspecified injury. Ahead of the Croatia game, left-back Nico O'Reilly returned to Manchester City for assessment on an injury picked up against Spain.
While O'Reilly was not initially replaced, Tuchel has since called up his City team-mate Rico Lewis, who had been with Lee Carsley's England Under-21s earlier in the international window. Lewis has not played for England at senior level since November 2024 but can fill in at full-back on either flank, and he is amongst the substitutes this evening.
Kane's milestone and lineup
Captain Harry Kane plays to draw level with Peter Shilton to become England's joint most-capped men's player of all time on 125 appearances.
Jordan Pickford retains his place in goal, while Trent Alexander-Arnold comes in at right-back and Myles Lewis-Skelly replaces Scott in midfield. Jarell Quansah partners Marc Guehi following Konsa's withdrawal.
Declan Rice, Cole Palmer, Marcus Rashford, Kobbie Mainoo and Tino Livramento all dropped out of the England squad ahead of their first game against Spain.
