Wetherspoon will launch a 12-day beer festival on Wednesday, October 7, featuring 30 real ales, with prices starting from around £2.40 per pint. The festival runs until Sunday, October 18, and includes beers from brewers in China, Denmark, Singapore, Ukraine, and the USA, all new to the chain.
For the first time, the festival will feature a real ale from Singapore and one from Ukraine. Marketing manager Jen Swindells said: "The festival is a great celebration of cask beer."
Festival Highlights and International Brews
Swindells added: "Over a 12-day period, the pubs can showcase a selection of superb value-for-money beers, including those from brewers as far afield as Denmark and Singapore, as well as those closer to home."
"The festival gives customers the chance to enjoy beers which have not previously been available in the pubs, as well as those brewed especially for the festival – and there are plenty of new beers to try."
Some beers will include ingredients such as coconut, coriander, mango, and tea. The international lineup includes Urbrew Oolong ESB (China), Mikkeller English Dream Pilsner (Denmark), Lion Mango IPA (Singapore), Varvar Session Golden Ale (Ukraine), and UPP Liquids Pinball Wizard (USA).
Deals and Pricing
Customers can take advantage of a trio deal, which allows them to buy three third-of-a-pint tasters for the same price as one pint. Wetherspoon confirmed that while prices will vary from pub to pub, a pint during the festival will "average around £2.40".
Vegan beers are also among the festival collection. Full allergen information about all featured beers can be found by searching for a pub on the Wetherspoon app and on each pub's customer information screen.
