Jude Bellingham scored twice to fire England into a World Cup semi-final in Atlanta on Wednesday. The Three Lions, who bravely fought back from behind, displayed huge mental toughness once again to pinch the game in the first half of extra-time.
Norway Take the Lead
Norway, who also had a goal chalked off, were ahead on 36 minutes when Jordan Pickford misjudged Andreas Schjelderup's powerful cross, which flew in off the post.
Bellingham Takes Centre Stage
Then Bellingham took centre stage, first driving home the equaliser, which Norway claim shouldn't have stood as the ball appeared to touch the 'Spidercam' cable during the build-up. Bellingham then tucked in the winner to draw level with Gary Lineker for most non-penalty goals (six) for England at a single major tournament.
England Player Ratings
Jordan Pickford 6 - This was his record-breaking appearance (18th for England in a World Cup) and will not want to see the Schjelderup goal again. He was edgy at times.
Ezri Konsa 7 - Brought in to right back did not offer much going forward but made heroic clearance.
John Stones 8 - Looked a bit nervy at times, but got better, kept Haaland quiet and put in heroic effort.
Marc Guehi 8 - Clearly not at full fitness after missing training this week and never stopped battling. Brilliant.
Nico O'Reilly 7 - Started well and was definitely the better of the two full backs. Subbed as he looked shattered.
Declan Rice 6 - He has missed training this week and, sure enough, did not look at his best. Subbed at half time.
Elliot Anderson 8 - Had a terrific ding-dong with new Man City teammate Haaland. Super human effort to keep running. Exceptional.
Noni Madueke 5 - Hooked at half time. Was so frustrating because he wasted good openings. Disappointing again.
Jude Bellingham 9 - When England needed a hero, Bellingham stepped up again. This guy deserves a knighthood.
Anthony Gordon 7 - Provided the assist for Bellingham's goal and got better and more dangerous as the game wore on.
Harry Kane 8 - Gave his heart and soul for the team, denied by an offside flag and ran himself to a standstill.
