Reports from De Zerbi's native Italy on Monday indicated he is now willing to consider Tottenham's proposal, with a five-year contract offer on the table. This move would make the 46-year-old the club's fourth head coach in just the past ten months, highlighting the ongoing instability at the North London side.
Tudor's chaotic 44-day tenure resulted in five defeats across seven matches, accompanied by a series of questionable tactical decisions, significantly increasing the realistic threat of Tottenham's first relegation since 1977. The club's leadership is now banking on De Zerbi's proven track record to steer them away from the drop zone.
Tuchel Defends Arsenal Withdrawals Amid Suspicion
England manager Thomas Tuchel has robustly defended the withdrawal of Declan Rice and Bukayo Saka from his national squad, amidst a wave of Arsenal player pullouts that has sparked speculation about club priorities overriding international duty. French Court Dismisses Cardiff's Negligence Claim Against Nantes
Cardiff City's negligence claim for damages against French club Nantes, relating to the tragic death of Emiliano Sala, has been dismissed by a tribunal in Nantes. The Welsh club was seeking damages exceeding £100 million, covering Sala's transfer fee as well as losses from other potential earnings.
Sala died in January 2019 when the light aircraft transporting him from France to join Cardiff crashed into the English Channel. Pilot David Ibbotson, aged 59, also perished in the crash. Cardiff contended that Nantes were responsible because the flight was organised by an agent, Willie McKay, who was enlisted by the French club.
However, the tribunal dismissed the claim on Monday and ordered Cardiff to pay more than £400,000 to Nantes, marking a significant legal setback for the Championship side in their long-running pursuit of compensation.
