Darts Stars Littler and Greaves Unite Against Online Trolls

Luke Littler has hit back at online trolls after a sexist comment was directed at Beau Greaves following her victory over the reigning World Champion. The 21-year-old Greaves secured her place in the Winmau World Youth Championship final by defeating Littler in a dramatic last-leg decider.

Littler, who had just won his first World Grand Prix title with a 6-1 victory over world number one Luke Humphries, travelled to Wigan for the qualifiers. Despite his recent success, he was edged out by Greaves 6-5 in the semi-final, with Greaves averaging 105 to Littler's 107.

After the match, Littler took to social media to praise Greaves, writing: 'I had two 10-dart legs, missed double 12 for a nine and still couldn't win. Fair play to Beau. All the best in Minehead. Some talent.' He also swiftly shut down a sexist Instagram comment that said 'Women should not compete with men,' replying: 'Are you high?'

Greaves will face Gian van Veen in the final on 23 November, coinciding with the Players Championship Finals in Minehead. Littler, meanwhile, will seek his first Players Championship victory, aiming to close the gap on Humphries, who has won the last two editions.

'This is my time and I've just got to keep going,' Littler said after his Grand Prix triumph. 'Until I get that world number one spot, I will never call myself the best in the world. I'm only £70,000 behind Luke, and he's got to defend his prize money. I could be world number one before the World Championship.'
