Jacqui Oatley has confirmed her departure from ITV after more than ten years with the broadcaster. The 50-year-old commentator, who made history as the first woman to commentate on BBC's Match of the Day, covered both football and darts for the channel.
Oatley announced the news on social media following the Players Championship Finals, describing her exit as "very sad". She wrote: "Heading home for the final time from @ITVSport duty after a decade with a brilliant production team. First three years were presenting football, including Euro 2016, World Cup 2018, with darts, darts, darts throughout."
ITV's free-to-air darts coverage will continue on ITV4 and ITVX but will now be produced by Eddie Hearn's Matchroom. The channel has also parted company with experienced commentator Ned Boulting, who confirmed his contracts for the Tour de France and PDC Darts had ended.
ITV director of sport Niall Sloane said: "We are pleased to expand and extend our live darts coverage... we look forward to continuing our work with them into 2028." PDC chief executive Matt Porter added: "We are delighted to continue our long-standing relationship with ITV, with the new deal set to take our partnership beyond 20 years."
Sky Sports has also secured a new five-year deal to broadcast major darts events including the World Championship and Premier League.
