Premier League football returns to Stamford Bridge this afternoon as Chelsea host Bournemouth, with the Blues close to full strength after the international break.
Blues boosted by returning players
The international break came at an ideal time for Xabi Alonso, whose side had been dealing with an injury crisis. Moises Caicedo had played barely 15 minutes of football this season, Reece James had suffered a hamstring injury, and Joao Pedro and Cole Palmer were both carrying knocks.
After three weeks of rest, Chelsea are back to full strength for the visit of a winless Bournemouth side. Marco Rose has taken just three points from his opening five league matches as he looks to fill the shoes of Andoni Iraola.
Palmer signs new contract
Chelsea confirmed this morning that Cole Palmer has signed a new and improved contract valid until 2034.
Bournemouth will be without Alex Scott, Justin Kluivert and Eli Junior Kroupi for the trip to west London. Kick-off is scheduled for 3pm BST at Stamford Bridge.
