Chelsea are weighing up a second bid for Bournemouth midfielder Alex Scott, who has also been linked with Manchester United. The Blues saw an initial offer worth £64m turned down, with Bournemouth maintaining that the 22-year-old is not for sale.
Scott has rejected a new contract offer from the Cherries, potentially opening the door for a move. Sky Sports Germany report that Chelsea are plotting a fresh bid for the England Under-21 international.
United's Midfield Targets
Manchester United have already signed Andrey Santos and Youri Tielemans this summer but are still looking to add a third midfielder. Among the options under consideration are Carlos Baleba, Aurelien Tchouameni, Manu Kone, and Scott. Both Baleba and Tchouameni have been linked with moves away from their current clubs, while Kone is reportedly the cheapest option.
Scott featured in all but one of Bournemouth's Premier League matches last season, scoring a memorable winner against Arsenal. Despite being a boyhood Tottenham fan, he is said to be willing to join Chelsea.
Other Transfer Activity
United have also been linked with Crystal Palace's Ismaila Sarr, though attacking additions are likely only after another midfielder arrives. Meanwhile, Arsenal are exploring a move for Real Madrid's Vinicius Jr, which could fund a departure from the Bernabeu.
Bournemouth have already seen record-breaking transfers this window, with Mateus Fernandes, Sandro Tonali, and Elliot Anderson departing. The club is likely to demand a sizeable fee for Scott if they decide to sell.
