Spygate Rocks the Championship

One of the most extraordinary stories in recent football memory, isn't it? Southampton were found to have spied on Middlesbrough's training in the build-up to the semi-finals and admitted it too. But it wasn't the only time – they also spied on Oxford United and Ipswich this season. They didn't win any of those games. We don't know who issued the orders, but manager Tonda Eckert – who authorised the spying – is under serious pressure. It has not yet been announced whether he will be the subject of an internal investigation. The Saints have been kicked out of the play-offs and been deducted four points for next season. An appeal fell on deaf ears this week.
