The UEFA Champions League group stage kicks off tonight with eight matches scheduled across Europe, as the continent's elite clubs begin their campaigns. Among the highlights, Manchester City face a tough trip to Sevilla, while Chelsea host Dinamo Zagreb and Celtic welcome reigning champions Real Madrid to Parkhead.
Manchester City travel to Seville for an 8pm BST kick-off, with Pep Guardiola hoping Erling Haaland can replicate his Premier League form on the European stage. The other Group G match sees Borussia Dortmund host FC Copenhagen. In Group E, Chelsea take on Dinamo Zagreb at Stamford Bridge, with Thomas Tuchel seeking an improved performance after a mixed start to the Premier League season. Serie A champions AC Milan also feature, visiting Red Bull Salzburg.
Celtics face a daunting test at home against Real Madrid, buoyed by the famous Parkhead atmosphere. RB Leipzig host Shakhtar Donetsk in the same group. In Group H, Paris Saint-Germain welcome Juventus, with new manager Christophe Galtier aiming to guide a star-studded attack to a strong start. Benfica host Maccabi Haifa, who return to the group stage for the first time since 2009/10.
