Celtic fans are celebrating both the return of Jota and their team's return to the top of the Premiership table after a 2-0 win over Motherwell.
William Hutchison, Aberdeen, said: "First of all it's great seeing Jota back. Second, thank you Rangers for keeping our seat at the top of the table warm for us."
Kenny Wilson, Moffat, said: "Back to winning ways for the champions with a far better performance, moving the ball so much quicker and the only puzzling thing was how it was only 2-0. It could easily have been 6 or 7. Good performances all over but the highlight undoubtedly was the return of Jota, what a great sight and a huge boost for everyone."
Fans impressed by Celtic's dominant display
Steve McSherry, Uddingston, said: "I was very impressed with the Celtic performance against Motherwell. The scoreline should have been greater, however I think this shows that the games against Rangers will have been nothing more than a glitch and we should go on and win the league with ease."
Mika Baur was a standout in the win, and Stephen Mulhern, Dumbarton, said: "I traveled to Fir Park with a degree of apprehension after our recent disappointing form but that was a more than satisfactory performance from the champions after a difficult spell. Special mention to our German international Mika Baur who reminded me of his fellow countryman Franz Beckenbaur in midfield."
While Kasper Hogh again failed to score, one caller noted it's obvious he keeps his goalscoring exploits for Europe, so benching him against Benfica is unthinkable.
Mixed views on Kasper Hogh and Rangers
Not everyone agreed. Charles Maxwell said: "Total dominance from Celtic today. But the lack of goals when you have that much dominance is worrying."
Another caller said: "Kasper Høgh is nowhere near good enough to wear a Celtic jersey. Celtic haven't so much as painted themselves into a corner as PAID themselves into a corner as far as Hogh is concerned. As expensive as it may be, Celtic need to cut their losses and drop the donkey. If we don't, we could finish the season with Hee Haw."
Rangers' win over Kilmarnock put them top on Saturday, but it only lasted 24 hours. Barriemore Barlow said: "Rangers are putting too much store on the two Celtic matches as they were a bit cocky against Kilmarnock. The three goals were of a poor quality. Naderi has still to score a quality goal, the first header was straight at the keeper. Kelsy's was really an OG and the third hit Naderi on the face. They are still not a good team."
St Mirren's worrying run continues
Elsewhere, St Mirren are suffering after their strong start to the season gave way to a string of worrying results.
Stephen Johnstone, Ardentinny, said: "St Mirren were like my new wallpaper at the weekend against Hearts – they took a pasting and one can see David Gray, ex Hibs manager, replacing Craig McLeish if the Buddies get a pasting in there next outing."
