Celtic's 2-0 Premiership defeat at Falkirk has prompted a wave of Hotline callers to demand Martin O'Neill's dismissal, with some suggesting Falkirk manager John McGlynn as his replacement.
Scott Bain, the former Celtic goalkeeper now at Falkirk, was named man of the match as the Bairns secured a shock win over the Hoops.
Fans call for change
Stephen Johnstone, Ardentinny, said: "The Falkirk wheel goes round and round for John McGlynn's high-flying Bairns against Celtic, and leaving Martin O'Neill wishing they kept man of the match Scott Bain. And if I were the hierarchy at Celtic, one would be looking to replace O'Neill with John McGlynn and making it a double."
Scott McAdam, Glasgow, said: "No excuses, another bad defeat. I would surrender the league now to get rid of O'Neill. He's not got a clue who to pick or how to set the team up. By end of January, Rangers will be eight clear at least. You have made us a total laughing so it's time to go."
Steve McSherry, Uddingston, said: "After another abysmal performance from Celtic, if Hearts don't win the league this year, they never will. How can we beat our biggest challengers 7-1 then drop to those levels against Dundee Utd and Falkirk? It's unbelievable."
Defensive concerns and potential replacements
Stephen Mulhern, Dumbarton, said: "I support my team through good times and bad times. Completely unnecessary defensive mistakes were unfortunately in evidence once again after only three minutes today. Celtic should now send out an SOS for Kieran McKenna to resurrect our season as I'm afraid Martin O'Neill is fast establishing himself as the Scottish version of Michael Carrick."
John Caw said: "I am getting exhausted repeating myself. Celtic must act. Murray played well on Wednesday and they drop him. How this Scales keeps getting a game along with Tierney is disgraceful. Nothing at the back. Over eighty years and never seen a Celtic team play like this. MON must have lost the place too."
Penrice challenge criticised
James Penrice has been criticised for his high challenge on Aberdeen's Afeez Aremu at Hampden on Saturday, with Rangers and Aberdeen fans united in their criticism.
Peter Cooperwhite said: "When I was watching the game on Saturday, after seeing James Penrice kung-foo kick an Aberdeen player on his side, my thoughts were red card but Penrice can only answer why he thought to do that stupid thing. I hope he gets his head in a better place as no need for any player, more so a Rangers player to do stupid things like that. We were struggling to break down Aberdeen with 11 men, never mind 10, so James screw your head on now."
Alan McPherson, Nairn, said: "As an Aberdeen fan I didn't expect my team to beat Rangers what with all the selection problems but I was impressed by their resilience. But to put a rookie ref in charge of such a high-profile game was a shocking decision, there should have been two handball penalties and Penrice should have been been sent off for his horrendous attack but wasn't even booked. Anyway well done Dons and good luck next week against Hibs."
Rangers performance questioned
Rangers got the job done in the end but one punter was far from convinced with their performance.
Russell Black, Banchory, said: "I have to say I am getting more and more frustrated with McInnes' style of management. The lineup against Aberdeen was not good and he is unbelievably slow to change things when things are quite obviously not working! I sincerely hope his thinking improves or we will win nothing."
