Bukayo Saka Agrees New Five-Year Arsenal Contract

Bukayo Saka has agreed a new five-year contract with Arsenal that will see him become one of the club's highest-ever earners. The England forward's deal, which runs until 2031, is worth over £15 million per season, equivalent to approximately £300,000 a week.

The 24-year-old academy graduate's previous contract, signed in May 2023, was due to expire in 2027. Arsenal's sporting director Andrea Berta made securing Saka's future a priority, having already tied down Gabriel Magalhães, William Saliba, Ethan Nwaneri and Myles Lewis-Skelly to long-term deals last year.

Saka has been in outstanding form this season, helping Arsenal establish a six-point lead at the top of the Premier League. His minutes have been carefully managed since a minor hamstring injury in August, with the winger starting on the bench in several matches. Confirmation of the new contract is expected shortly.

Manager Mikel Arteta previously expressed hope that Saka would commit his future to the club. “I would love that,” Arteta said in September. “He’s a player that is extremely happy and proud to be here and to have the role that he has. Everyone knows how important Bukayo is for us, so hopefully we can do it.”
