Bruno Fernandes has urged his Manchester United teammates to be braver and take more risks following a 3-0 loss to Manchester City in the derby. Erling Haaland scored twice after Phil Foden's opener, leaving United with just eight wins from 31 Premier League games under Ruben Amorim.
Speaking after the match, Fernandes said: 'We need to score goals and not concede. We keep creating chances but were not able to score as much as we wanted. We have to be more in control. When we go we have to take more risks and be more brave with the last line.'
Roy Keane criticised Luke Shaw and Fernandes for their roles in Foden's opening goal. Keane said Shaw 'threw the towel in' and noted that 'people can run off the back of Bruno, that's been going on for years'.
Amorim insisted he will not change his preferred 3-4-3 formation, stating that only a change in the dugout would alter the style. United face Chelsea at Old Trafford next Saturday.
