Martin Brundle has confirmed he will be returning to Sky Sports coverage for the Miami Grand Prix after missing the previous two races in China and Japan. The 66-year-old pundit acknowledged that he can no longer attend every Formula One weekend, now covering 16 of the 24 rounds this season.
Speaking on The F1 Show, Brundle explained that he misses early-hours races but feels sad about not being at Suzuka. He described the Miami Grand Prix as 'almost like the start of a new Formula One season' and 'one of the biggest relaunches in the history of Formula 1'.
Brundle also called for changes from the FIA, citing concerns about driver-aided systems. He referenced Lando Norris's comment about not wanting to overtake Lewis Hamilton but being forced by the car's battery, emphasising that drivers must drive 'alone and unaided'.
He urged the FIA to ensure power delivery is proportional to throttle input, calling it a fundamental issue. Brundle outlined a priority ranking for the FIA: first fans, then marshals, pitstop crew, and finally drivers.
