Big Stacks vs James Collins: Fight time and TV channel at Misfits 30

Former Wales football and Euro 2016 hero James Collins steps into the ring tonight to face the 'UK's Hardest Man'. Collins, who hails from Newport and represented Cardiff City, West Ham and Aston Villa in a successful career, will touch gloves with Big Stacks on the Misfits Boxing bill.

Collins has stepped into the breach pretty much last minute, with BBC The Apprentice star Tom Skinner pulling out.

Collins on his late call-up

"I've always enjoyed my boxing," Collins told WalesOnline. "This opportunity came around a bit late, to be honest. I only had two weeks to get ready for it, but I've absolutely loved it."

"Preparation's going well. I'm back in the gym and enjoying it. It's hard work. I thought I was fit."

"Well, I was probably football fit, if, if you like. I certainly wasn't boxing fit. So it's been tremendously hard work, but incredible. It's given me another focus and something to get up for, something to go to the gym and train towards and work towards."

"So, listen, whatever comes of the fight on the 10th of October, I've absolutely loved being back in the gym and getting fit and getting out the house."
