Bayern President Warns Off Liverpool Over Olise Transfer

Bayern Munich president Herbert Hainer has issued a firm hands-off warning to Liverpool and other clubs regarding Michael Olise, stating that the French winger is not for sale. Hainer told Bild: 'Michael Olise is a Bayern Munich player who still has a long-term contract - and we are not a club that sells players.'

The 24-year-old former Crystal Palace star has been linked with a move to Anfield as a potential replacement for Mohamed Salah. However, Bayern's stance appears unequivocal, with honorary president Uli Hoeness having previously declared: 'Sell Michael Olise for €200 million? He won’t be sold.'

Olise has scored 42 goals in 107 appearances for Bayern across two seasons and recently netted a hat-trick for France in a pre-World Cup friendly against Northern Ireland. France boss Didier Deschamps praised him, saying: 'He's been outstanding this season at Bayern, and with us too. He's brimming with confidence.'

Liverpool are now believed to have shifted their focus to RB Leipzig's Yan Diomande, a 19-year-old winger who scored 12 Bundesliga goals last season, just three fewer than Olise's tally of 15. A move for Diomande is considered more feasible given his age and Liverpool's existing relationship with Leipzig.

Despite interest from several former Liverpool players who have publicly backed an Olise move, the Reds appear unlikely to pursue the French international further this summer.
