Barcelona will don a special-edition jersey for their El Clasico encounter against Real Madrid this weekend, replacing the standard Spotify logo with the 'OR' heart emblem of American singer-songwriter Olivia Rodrigo. The match, scheduled for Sunday, May 10, at the Spotify Camp Nou, kicks off at 8pm BST and marks Real Madrid's first competitive visit to Barcelona's newly renovated stadium.
Olivia Rodrigo Collaboration
The temporary change celebrates Rodrigo's record-breaking streaming numbers on Spotify, making her the youngest artist to feature on a Barcelona shirt through the club's partnership with the platform. The limited-edition jersey run of 1,899 units honors the club's founding year, priced at around £340 each. An ultra-exclusive set of 11 hand-signed shirts by Rodrigo fetched up to £2,500.
Beyond the Pitch
The collaboration extends to a full lifestyle capsule collection, including hoodies, t-shirts, bucket hats, and scarves, blending Rodrigo's aesthetic with Barcelona's Blaugrana colours. Previous artist takeovers have featured logos from Rosalia, Drake, The Rolling Stones, Karol G, and Coldplay.
La Liga Title Implications
Barcelona lead Real Madrid by 11 points in La Liga. A win or draw on Sunday would mathematically secure the title for Barcelona, potentially clinching the trophy against their biggest rivals with three games to spare.
