The 2026 Ballon d'Or ceremony takes place tonight at the London Palladium, with Harry Kane the favourite to become only the fifth English player to win the award, 25 years after Michael Owen was the last.
The event, hosted by Thierry Henry and Kate Scott, begins at 8pm, but rankings from 30th to 11th will be announced on social media between 5pm and 7.30pm. Players, coaches and invited guests will arrive at the venue ahead of the ceremony start.
Key timings for the ceremony
The evening will include the men's and women's Ballon d'Or prizes, plus awards for emerging talent, goalkeepers, strikers, coaches and clubs. The men's Ballon d'Or winner is expected to be announced at around 10pm, followed by winner interviews and other media duties as the ceremony concludes.
Main contenders
Kylian Mbappe and Lamine Yamal, of Real Madrid and Barcelona respectively, are the biggest rivals to Kane for the top prize. The ceremony is being held in London, with a live blog covering the event.
