Aston Villa have reportedly contacted Porto about the availability of Spanish striker Samu Aghehowa, with club president André Villas-Boas demanding £55m for the 20-year-old. The forward scored 19 goals in 30 appearances last season and is a Spain international, as Villa prepare for potential interest in Ollie Watkins.

Sunderland are in talks with Chelsea over a move for Marc Guiu, who joined the Blues from Barcelona a year ago but made only three Premier League appearances. The Black Cats are also closing in on a £9m deal for NEC goalkeeper Robin Roefs, while a £1.2m bid from Derby for midfielder Nectarios Triantis has been rejected.
