Arsenal Transfer Rumours Denied, Young Star Faces Reduced Role

Arsenal's Transfer Plans Amidst Title Race

Arsenal continue to navigate a busy season on multiple fronts while keeping an eye on future squad reinforcements. Mikel Arteta's team currently holds a narrow lead in the Premier League over Manchester City, with both clubs set to clash in the Carabao Cup final later this month. Beyond domestic competitions, the Gunners have advanced favourably in the Champions League, topping their league phase and drawing Bayer Leverkusen for the last-16.

Lewis-Skelly's Reduced Role Sparks Discussion

Young midfielder Myles Lewis-Skelly, aged 19, has seen his playing time diminish this season, prompting comments from Arsenal legend Ray Parlour. After a breakthrough last campaign where he featured as a makeshift left-back in key matches, including wins over Real Madrid and earning his first England cap, Lewis-Skelly has managed just 312 minutes in the Premier League this term.

Parlour expressed that the teenager is likely "disappointed" with his current situation, noting the rapid trajectory of his early career. "A lot has happened in his career very quickly. He got into the Arsenal team, played for England and scored for England all at a very young age and suddenly he’s been left out," Parlour told The Metro.

He advised Lewis-Skelly to maintain focus and effort in training, emphasising that "you just have to get your head down" and avoid complacency. Parlour added, "When you get left out you have to make sure you work hard in training and show the manager what you are about."

Inter Milan Denies Arsenal's Interest in Esposito

Inter Milan president Beppe Marotta has publicly refuted rumours linking Arsenal with a move for striker Pio Esposito. The 20-year-old, who rejoined Inter after loan spells at Spezia, has impressed this season with 13 goal involvements, including a notable performance against Arsenal in the Champions League.

Reports from La Gazzetta dello Sport suggested Arsenal's sporting director Andrea Berta contacted Inter after that match, but Marotta stated, "Arsenal haven’t asked us about him. Inter do not want to sell him and we are not a club that makes player trading its main business." He described Esposito as a "treasure" from the youth academy, indicating any potential transfer is "a very distant future."

Gunners Target German Wonderkid Eichhorn

Arsenal are reportedly scouting Hertha Berlin's 16-year-old midfielder Kennet Eichhorn as a long-term prospect. According to CFBayern, the Gunners view the teenager as a potential addition to their midfield, which has been anchored by Declan Rice and Martin Zubimendi this season.

Eichhorn has made 15 appearances for Hertha Berlin in the German second tier, attracting interest from other clubs like Manchester United and Bayern Munich. Arsenal's pursuit aligns with their strategy to bolster squad depth ahead of future campaigns.

As the transfer window approaches, Arsenal's activities remain under scrutiny, balancing immediate competitive demands with strategic planning for sustained success.
