Arsenal stars Declan Rice, David Raya, and Gabriel are among the top-flight players nominated for the Premier League Player of the Season award for the 2025/26 campaign. The Gunners have enjoyed a stellar season and are currently two points clear at the top of the table, with a potential league title in sight.
Nominees Announced
The Premier League has confirmed the eight-player shortlist, which includes a strong Arsenal contingent. England midfielder Declan Rice has been nominated after scoring four goals and providing seven assists in 35 appearances this term. He is joined by teammates David Raya and Gabriel, who have formed a formidable defensive partnership. Spanish goalkeeper Raya has kept 18 clean sheets in 36 games, already securing the Golden Glove award, while Brazilian centre-back Gabriel has been imperious at the back and has also scored three goals.
Title Rivals Also in Running
Manchester City's Erling Haaland is unsurprisingly among the nominees, having netted 26 goals this season. He is joined by City teammate Antoine Semenyo, who has scored 16 league goals after moving from Bournemouth in January. Brentford striker Igor Thiago, with 22 goals, is also nominated, providing stiff competition for the Golden Boot.
Across Manchester, Bruno Fernandes has earned a nomination following a brilliant campaign. The Portuguese midfielder has scored eight goals and provided 20 assists, helping Manchester United secure a return to the Champions League. Fernandes was recently named the FWA Player of the Year.
The final nominee is Nottingham Forest's Morgan Gibbs-White, who has scored 13 goals and provided four assists to steer the Midlands club away from relegation fears.
Voting and Announcement
Supporters can vote for their player of the season until midday on Monday, 18 May. The votes will be combined with those from a panel of football experts to determine the winner, which will be announced next week.
