Arsenal restored their seven-point lead at the top of the Premier League with a comfortable 4-0 victory over Leeds United. Mikel Arteta's side were in control throughout, with goals from Martin Zubimendi, an own goal by Karl Darlow, Viktor Gyokeres and Gabriel Jesus sealing the win.
The Gunners were dealt a blow before kick-off when Bukayo Saka suffered an injury during the warm-up, paving the way for Noni Madueke to make an unexpected start. The winger seized his opportunity, delivering a superb cross for Zubimendi to head home the opener. He then saw his driven corner punched into his own net by Leeds goalkeeper Darlow, doubling Arsenal's lead.
Gyokeres added a third with an outstretched leg to convert Gabriel Martinelli's cross, and substitute Gabriel Jesus rounded off the scoring after excellent work from Martin Odegaard. Jesus could have had more but fired wide from a Declan Rice pass earlier.
In terms of individual performances, Madueke earned an 8/10 for his influential display. Jurrien Timber, William Saliba, Gabriel Magalhaes, Zubimendi, Rice and Odegaard also received 8s. Kai Havertz struggled to impose himself on his first league start since returning to the squad, scoring just 6. David Raya had little to do but handled a Pascal Struijk header confidently.
