Arsenal are facing competition from Manchester City for Real Madrid winger Rodrygo, as the Gunners continue their summer spending spree. The Brazilian, valued at around £86.5 million, has been linked with a move to the Emirates, but City have now entered the race, with Pep Guardiola reportedly a keen admirer. Real Madrid are open to selling the 24-year-old, who was previously a target for Arsenal before they signed Noni Madueke.
Meanwhile, Crystal Palace chairman Steve Parish has admitted that Eberechi Eze could leave before the transfer window closes. The England international has a £68 million release clause that expires on Friday, and Arsenal have been linked with a move. Parish, speaking after Palace's Community Shield win over Liverpool, said: 'Players come and go in football clubs. Hopefully they're still here, but we'll see.'
Arsenal are also looking to offload goalkeeper Karl Hein, with La Liga side Levante the latest club to express interest. The 23-year-old Estonia international, who spent last season on loan at Real Valladolid, is behind David Raya, Kepa Arrizabalaga and Tommy Setford in the pecking order. Rangers and Sevilla have also been linked.
Arsenal have already spent £195 million on six new signings this summer, but sporting director Andrea Berta is working on further deals before the window closes. The Gunners begin their Premier League campaign away to Manchester United on Sunday.
