Arsenal can help Vinicius Jr get his wish of wanting to be appreciated if he joins the club from Real Madrid. The 25-year-old emerged as a concrete target for the Gunners after Chelsea swooped in to sign Morgan Rogers for a stunning £117 million.
Though Arsenal were financially capable of meeting that amount, they had a clear valuation of Rogers that was exceeded by their London rivals. More funds would almost certainly be allocated to Vinicius if a deal became possible with his contract set to expire next summer.
Contract Talks and Desire to Feel Loved
Attempts have been made by Real over the last 12 months to agree an extension and BBC Sport have claimed fresh talks were opened on Monday but there is yet to be a breakthrough. Their report has stated that while he open to staying and signing fresh terms, he wants to feel loved at whichever club he plays for.
If he made the move to Emirates Stadium, he would undoubtedly receive that exactly that at Emirates Stadium, with reports indicating that internally he is regarded as the primary target, with Arteta 'smitten' at the prospect of bringing Vinicius to the club. There is, however, a general acknowledgement that any transfer would be far from straightforward, even with a financial willingness to push the move through should it prove feasible.
Arteta's Persuasion and Vinicius's Status
Arteta has previously succeeded in persuading transfer targets that Arsenal represented their finest option, having won the race for the likes of Declan Rice, Jurrien Timber and David Raya. Given how meticulous the 44-year-old is, he will have almost certainly put together a detailed plan for how Vinicius would slot into his setup.
There is little question he would become Arsenal's standout star — a status he no longer commands at Real. Since the arrival of Kylian Mbappe, he has been overshadowed as their headline act, and a strong case could be made that Jude Bellingham also carries a bigger profile.

As for Arsenal, they are yet to splash the cash in any meaningful way, with Christos Tzolis, Illian Meslier and Piero Hincapie representing their only permanent acquisitions. Jakub Kiwior and Leandro Trossard have already departed, while the futures of Reiss Nelson, Fabio Vieira, Gabriel Jesus, Christian Norgaard, Ben White and Ethan Nwaneri remain uncertain, with all potentially available for transfer.
