Manager Ruben Amorim is keen to strengthen his squad but may be constrained by the need to sell before buying. Among his targets is Paris Saint-Germain striker Randal Kolo Muani, who has fallen out of favour in Paris. United have made contact with the player's representatives, and PSG are open to a loan with an option to buy.
Amorim also wants to reunite with left-back Nuno Mendes, whom he coached at Sporting Lisbon. However, PSG are reluctant to sell and aim to extend his contract, which runs until 2026. United's pursuit is complicated by their lack of Champions League football this season, a factor PSG have questioned.
