Maddison Sullivan-Thorpe, the glamorous partner of AFL star Lachie Hunter, has bravely opened up about her deeply personal journey with IVF, revealing the emotional and physical challenges she has faced in her quest to start a family.
In an exclusive interview, the 28-year-old WAG shared her hopes, fears, and the unwavering support she has received from her AFL beau as they navigate the often-turbulent waters of fertility treatment.
The IVF Rollercoaster
"It's been a whirlwind of emotions," Maddison confessed. "From the initial hope to the crushing disappointments, IVF is a journey that tests you in ways you never imagined."
The couple, who have been together for several years, decided to pursue IVF after struggling to conceive naturally. "We knew we wanted a family together," Maddison explained. "When it didn't happen as easily as we'd hoped, we had to consider other options."
Support from the AFL Community
Maddison praised the AFL community for their support, particularly other WAGs who have gone through similar experiences. "There's an unspoken bond between women who've walked this path," she said. "Their advice and encouragement have been invaluable."
Lachie, who plays for the Western Bulldogs, has been Maddison's rock throughout the process. "He's been incredible," she gushed. "From attending every appointment to holding my hand through the tough moments - I couldn't ask for a more supportive partner."
Breaking the Stigma
By sharing her story, Maddison hopes to break down the stigma surrounding fertility struggles. "So many couples go through this silently," she noted. "If my story helps even one person feel less alone, then it's worth being vulnerable."
The couple remain optimistic about their chances of becoming parents. "We're taking it one day at a time," Maddison said. "Whatever happens, we're in this together."
