Hollywood actor Jason Momoa has revealed a harrowing surfing accident in Hawaii that nearly cost him his life. The Aquaman star described the terrifying moment he thought he was going to die while riding the waves.
Momoa, known for his love of extreme sports, recounted the incident during a recent interview. "I wiped out hard," he admitted. "The wave just crushed me, and I couldn't get to the surface. For a few seconds, I genuinely thought that was it."
A Close Call in Paradise
The 43-year-old actor, who grew up in Hawaii, has been surfing since childhood. However, even his extensive experience couldn't prevent this dangerous situation. "The ocean doesn't care who you are," Momoa reflected. "One second you're on top of the world, the next you're fighting for air."
Lessons Learned
While shaken by the experience, Momoa says it hasn't deterred him from surfing. "It's part of the sport," he explained. "But it definitely made me more cautious. I want to be around for my kids."
The actor, who shares two children with ex-wife Lisa Bonet, emphasized the importance of respecting nature's power. "Hawaii's waves are no joke," he warned. "Even pros can get into trouble."
