McGregor saw death in psychedelic therapy

Former UFC champion Conor McGregor has made a startling revelation about his recent absence from the public eye, claiming he saw a vision of his own death during an intense psychedelic therapy session.

The Treatment and The Vision

The fighter, who has not competed in the Octagon since 2021, disclosed that he travelled to Tijuana, Mexico to undergo Ibogaine treatment at the AMBIO facility. This specific therapy is known for its use in tackling addictions, particularly opioid dependency, by alleviating withdrawal symptoms and cravings.

McGregor took to social media to describe the profound and harrowing experience. He directed his followers to a Netflix documentary titled 'In Waves and War', confirming it was filmed at the exact location he visited for his treatment.

He recounted an "incredible, intense, and absolutely eye opening" session where he was shown what would have been his impending death. "I was looking down on myself as it happened, and then I was looking out from the coffin," McGregor wrote, detailing the powerful hallucination.

A Spiritual Awakening and Healing

The Irish sports star's account then took a deeply spiritual turn. He claimed that God appeared to him in the Holy Trinity, accompanied by Jesus, Mary, and the Archangels.

"Jesus descended from the white marble steps of heaven and anointed me with a crown. I was saved!" McGregor stated. He emphasised that the experience, which lasted for 36 hours before he could rest, left him feeling completely healed in mind, heart, and soul.

He hailed the treatment as "worth its weight in GOLD", acknowledging its difficulty but crediting it with saving his life and, consequently, his family.

The Road Back to the UFC

Now feeling reborn, McGregor has set his sights firmly on a return to professional fighting. He expressed his gratitude to fans for their support and prayers, declaring, "The world is in for a treat."

His planned comeback is targeted for next summer. McGregor specifically intends to face Michael Chandler and has ambitions for the bout to headline a major UFC event. This proposed fight would be part of the UFC's 'White House' card, scheduled to be held on June 14 to celebrate America's 250th birthday, which also coincides with former President Donald Trump's 80th birthday.
