Caroline Dubois Targets Terri Harper for Lightweight Unification: 'Can't Drag Anyone Into The Ring'
Dubois Puts Pressure on Harper for Title Unification Bout

Rising British boxing star Caroline Dubois has intensified her campaign for a major domestic showdown, publicly calling for a world title unification fight against fellow champion Terri Harper.

The Call-Out: A Logical Fight for British Boxing

The 24-year-old Dubois, who holds the WBC lightweight title, has made it clear that Harper, the WBO champion, is her primary target. Speaking exclusively to The Independent, Dubois laid out the compelling case for the bout. "I've been calling out Terri for a while now, and she would know that's the fight I want," Dubois stated. She emphasised the natural fit of the matchup, pointing out that both are British fighters with world titles, now operating on similar promotional platforms.

Despite her clear desire, Dubois acknowledged the limits of her influence. "I can't drag anyone into the ring, I can't force them to do anything. They have to agree to it, and that's the amazing thing about boxing," she remarked, applying subtle pressure on her rival. Dubois confirmed she is going "100 per cent for the Terri Harper fight", leaving the ball firmly in Harper's court to accept the challenge.

Building Momentum: A New Promotional Home and Global Stage

Dubois's pursuit of Harper comes on the back of significant career momentum. In December 2025, she signed with Jake Paul's Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) and made a successful debut under their banner. This occurred on the high-profile undercard of Paul's fight with Anthony Joshua in Miami, Florida – a event that also marked Dubois's first professional bout on American soil.

That night, she successfully defended her WBC belt by outpointing Camilla Panatta, moving her professional record to an impressive 12 wins, 0 losses, and 1 draw (with 5 knockouts). The event was broadcast on Netflix, reportedly drawing over 30 million viewers, providing Dubois with unprecedented global exposure. "It was amazing to fight on that card... very surreal," she reflected, though credited her prior experience on major UK platforms like Sky Sports for keeping her composed.

Patience and Ambition: The Path to Unifying the Division

Despite her youth, Dubois speaks with the maturity of a veteran. She expressed a philosophical approach to her career trajectory. "I believe what is for you is for you... I'm only 24, so there's literally no rush," she said. However, her ambition is undeniable. She recognises the need to step up her competition level, stating, "I can't step back and continue fighting people that people don't know. I have to step up and fight big names, I have to unify the division."

Dubois won the WBC title in December 2024 after Katie Taylor vacated it. She has since retained it against Jessica Camara (draw), Bo Mi Re Shin, and Panatta (both decision wins). The other champions in the stacked lightweight division are WBA's Stephanie Han and IBF's Elif Nur Turhan, but Harper remains the immediate focus for Dubois.

While her move to MVP may lead to more fights in the United States, Dubois expressed hope that she will still have opportunities to fight at home in the UK, suggesting MVP's roster of British fighters could lead to shows on home soil.

Confident that major fights are on the horizon, Dubois concluded, "I think there's gonna be some really huge fights for women's boxing... and my name will be involved in that mix. So, I don't feel any frustration or anything, I know it's coming." The boxing world now waits to see if Terri Harper will answer the call and make one of those huge fights a reality.
