Clarke vs Parker in talks for Fury-Joshua undercard

A heavyweight showdown between Olympic bronze medallist Frazer Clarke and former world champion Joseph Parker is reportedly being lined up for the undercard of the Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua fight.

The main event is scheduled for Friday, December 11, at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales, and will be broadcast globally on Netflix. All 80,000 tickets sold out in under an hour, and fans have been waiting for official confirmation of the supporting bouts.

Clarke confirms offer for Parker fight

Clarke, 35, returned to winning ways in August with a victory over Lamah Griggs and is now seeking a major step up in competition. Last week, the Burton-born heavyweight confirmed that an offer to fight Parker had been presented to him and accepted on his end.

"There's a couple of names being floated along and thrown my way. Joseph Parker's one of them. And that's something that I said yes to," he revealed on the Corner Talk podcast.

Parker's return after suspension

For Parker, 34, the bout would mark a return to the ring following a turbulent period. The former WBO heavyweight champion has been sidelined since it was revealed he tested positive for a banned substance around the time of his TKO defeat to Fabio Wardley in October 2025.

With his suspension now officially lifted, Parker is eligible to compete again. He previously secured back-to-back victories over Zhilei Zhang and Deontay Wilder.

Amateur history adds intrigue

The potential matchup carries extra significance because of the pair's history. In 2010, Clarke and Parker met in the amateur ranks, with Parker narrowly winning on a split decision.

"He's got one over me in the amateurs," Clarke said. "He won on a split. I think I blew a gasket. I was young, and he was young as well, but he was more of an athlete than I was back then, and it's a close fight. I've got it on the phone. That fight, I need to get one back."

The main event will see Fury and Joshua contest the vacant WBA "super" heavyweight title. Other rumoured undercard bouts include a potential matchup between Deontay Wilder and Jai Opetaia, as well as a clash featuring Manny Pacquiao and Joe Cordina.
