British Boxing Legends Special Edition Out October 20, 2026

A new special edition celebrating Britain's boxing heroes is now on sale, tracing the nation's ring achievements from the bare-knuckle era to the present day. The publication is available to order online and will be sold in participating supermarkets, high street retailers and independent newsagents across the UK from October 20, 2026.

From Bare-Knuckle Roots to Modern Icons

The special edition highlights how the country has consistently produced top-level fighters, from early bare-knuckle contests through to 2026, when several of the sport's biggest names hail from these shores. The continued passion for boxing in the UK is underscored by the fact that Tyson Fury's clash with Anthony Joshua in Cardiff sold out in under an hour, with 500,000 people waiting in the virtual queue.

The edition celebrates the achievements of British boxing legends, spanning generations of fighters. Featured names include Owen Morgan, Jimmy Wilde, Benny Lynch, Randy Turpin, Ken Buchanan, Frank Bruno, Lennox Lewis, Ricky Hatton and Joe Calzaghe, among others.

Iconic Battles and Legendary Status

The publication also revisits the battles that turned these fighters into sporting icons, such as Eubank v Benn, Cooper v Clay and Lloyd Honeyghan v Donald Curry. Selecting a limited group as legends was acknowledged as a difficult task, likely to spark debate among fans.

Many of the fighters had checkered lives away from the sport, but the blood, sweat and tears they shed in the ring cement their status as boxing legends. The edition features world champions, inspirational stories and memories to be relived.

Readers can purchase the special edition online with delivery to their door, or buy it in participating UK retailers from October 20, 2026. Online postage and packaging costs apply.
