Conor Benn was stopped inside six minutes by Ryan Garcia in Las Vegas on Saturday night.
Benn attempted to be the aggressor from the first bell but was twice stopped in his tracks by Garcia's left hook. The Brit switched downstairs as both men set a ferocious early pace.
Second-round stoppage
A right uppercut staggered Benn early in the second round and a right hook dumped him on the canvas. Benn rose but an onslaught from Garcia forced the referee to step in.
