President Donald Trump posted on Truth Social 565 times in April, more than double the 250 posts he made in April 2018 during his first term, according to an analysis by the Daily Beast. This averages about 18 posts per day, with a third occurring overnight.
The posts have stirred controversy, including an AI-generated image of Trump as Jesus, a photoshopped image threatening Iran, and repeated claims about the 2020 election being stolen, for which no evidence exists. One post at 2:49 a.m. on April 13 showed Trump in a white robe laying hands on a man, which drew outrage from both sides. Christian activist Sean Feucht called for its deletion, saying, 'There's no context where this is acceptable.' Trump later defended it, claiming it depicted him as a doctor for the Red Cross.
On April 17, Trump began posting around 8:40 p.m. and made 27 posts into the early morning, including eight after 1 a.m. on April 18. He resumed at 7 a.m. Later that night, he posted six times about the 2020 election. On April 29, at 4 a.m., he posted an image of himself holding a rifle with the caption 'No More Mr. Nice Guy,' appearing to threaten Iran.
The analysis found Trump posted more on weekends, with only one weekend night, April 4, without a post. Many posts came before 1 a.m. or after 7 a.m., which Trump has said is his typical sleeping schedule. However, he has been seen with his eyes closed at meetings, raising questions about his mental fitness. White House spokesman Davis Ingle defended the posts, saying, 'America loves them.'
