President Donald Trump was interrupted five times during his rally in Kansas, where he dismissed demonstrators as "paid protesters" and made controversial remarks about their parents before warning that the US could "leave" Europe over the ongoing riots in France.
Taking the stage at the Heartland Credit Union Arena in Park City, Kansas, roughly an hour late, Trump faced his first disruption moments into his speech while urging supporters to "pretend" he is on the ballot. The audience reacted with anger, some booing while others chanted "U-S-A."
Trump then told his supporters: "Now, he goes home to mum and dad, they slap him around, and they say, 'I voted for that man.'" This came after Trump unveiled striking 'red' hair which 'looks like squirrel on his head'.
Second and Third Interruptions
Within minutes, Trump was stopped for a second time. The president responded quickly, saying "there goes another one" and labelling them "paid protesters." He went on: "It's actually very dangerous. I can tell by the voice, they get paid. Whatever you do, get out and vote so we can get rid of idiots like that. It never ends."
Trump then embarked on a rant about the Paris riots, claiming the French had "treasonously imported millions and millions of third world migrants." However, his supporters were distracted by another heckler from the opposite side of the venue, with those positioned behind Trump seen looking off to the right rather than concentrating on the president. Shaking his head with clear contempt, Trump observed: "So two-and-a-half people did that and tomorrow the headline will be 'Trump had to go through massive protest'."
Fourth and Fifth Disruptions
The event settled momentarily as Trump eventually hit his stride, but he was compelled to stop for a fourth time as the crowd reacted angrily to yet another protester. As they were led away, Trump stated: "You know the amazing thing, these kids get paid $250 for that and then they get arrested and ruin their whole lives."
That turned out not to be the last disruption, as Trump was interrupted for a fifth time while discussing "crooked Joe Biden" and Barack Obama. The exasperated crowd started booing again before launching into chants, while a clearly irritated Trump stopped talking and started pumping his fist. "By the way, you have great law enforcement," he noted as the fifth person was ejected from the venue.
Reactions and Warning on Europe
One person on X remarked, "I guess that's different than the paid audience behind him." Another stated, "Hope he doesn't have them beat on like the lady in Youngstown last week!" A third person alleged: "The protesters are there for free. It's his supporters who are recruited on Craigslist and paid to be there."
Trump's comments arrive as the midterms approach and the Democrats are widely expected to gain control of the House of Representatives. His address then turned to the ongoing riots in France, during which he warned the US would "leave" Europe. The president stated: "We stand with Europe despite its flaws, its weaknesses, and hopefully its temporary loss of direction - but if they don't soon find their way, we will have NO CHOICE but to leave."
The remarks follow Trump's assertion that the protests and unrest have been caused by mass migration, claiming he told Macron to close the borders 'a long time ago'.
