Sunday Times Rich List 2026: UK's 20 Wealthiest People

The Sunday Times Rich List has unveiled the wealthiest individuals and families in the United Kingdom for 2026, detailing their estimated fortunes. Topping the list are Sanjay and Dheeraj Hinduja and their family, with a staggering net worth of £38 billion. The brothers ascended to the top spot following the passing of their father, Gopichand Hinduja, the patriarch of the vast Indian conglomerate Hinduja Group, who died last year.

Notable Billionaires on the List

Other prominent billionaires who remain fixtures on the list include Sir James Dyson and Sir Jim Ratcliffe. Sir Jim Ratcliffe, founder of Ineos and minority shareholder of Manchester United, is ranked ninth with a fortune of £15.194 billion. Sir James Dyson and his family hold the thirteenth position with £12 billion.

Increase in Billionaire Count

The number of billionaires recorded by the list has increased to 157 for 2026, up from 156 a year earlier. This marks a reversal of a recent period of decline in the billionaire population in the UK.
