The Prince and Princess of Wales have released a birthday portrait of Princess Charlotte to mark her 11th birthday. The image, taken by photographer Matt Porteous during the family's Easter break in Cornwall, shows Charlotte walking in a field of daisies, wearing a black and red striped jumper and blue denim jeans, smiling at the camera.
A video was also shared on Instagram, featuring Charlotte playing with the family puppy, Otto, and playing cricket on the beach. The post thanked followers for their birthday messages, saying: 'Thank you for the lovely birthday messages for Princess Charlotte, 11 today!'
Earlier this week, William and Kate marked their 15th wedding anniversary with a new family photo, also taken by Porteous in Cornwall, showing the family lying together in the grass on a sunny day. The couple often turn to Porteous for family occasions.
Yesterday, the family celebrated their second dog's first birthday, revealing his name as Otto. A picture of the brown spaniel was shared on social media with the caption: 'Welcome to the family, Otto! 1 today.'
The happy moments come after a challenging period for the family, following Kate's cancer diagnosis in 2024. She revealed last year she was in remission, and earlier this year described her cancer journey as having 'moments of fear and exhaustion' but also 'moments of strength, kindness and profound connection'.
