Carrick's Comments on His Future
Speaking at Friday's press conference, Carrick hinted that his future would be resolved imminently. "The future for me is going to be decided pretty soon, we knew that. Nothing has changed, there is no big swing on that," he said. "It's a unique football club, a special football club, and I'm mentally proud to have come back and to be a part of it, to help."
Carrick, a former United player and coach, has been in interim charge since Amorim's departure. He has guided the team to third place in the Premier League, with a strong goal difference advantage over Aston Villa in fourth. Victory against Nottingham Forest would virtually secure that position.

Carrick has already set his sights on improving next season. "You've always got to aim upwards," he said.
