Kuenssberg: Minister 'Wanted Threesome' in Hotel Bed

BBC journalist Laura Kuenssberg has revealed she once discovered a government minister waiting in bed with his partner, telling The Times it appeared he "wanted a threesome". The Sunday with Laura Kuenssberg presenter, 50, disclosed she had been expecting a professional meeting with the minister and an adviser in his hotel room during a party political conference.

But upon her arrival, the MP was allegedly reclining on the bed with "some shirt buttons undone", alongside his other half. When The Times enquired whether they were "after a threesome", she suggested they might have been, remarking: "Well, maybe they were and maybe they weren't. As I say, maybe they weren't and I got it completely wrong. It was very uncomfortable."

Uncomfortable Encounter

She recalled how she "quickly finished her drink and left". The seasoned broadcaster expressed "concern" for youngsters embarking on careers in Westminster and UK politics, noting: "Sometimes people behave badly."

She further disclosed that a separate married minister had invited her to the theatre and attempted "a little grope", while yet another individual "kissed her on the head repeatedly", reports the Express. Recounting the latter incident, she said: "That was just weird. I never felt threatened. But it's just a strange thing to do."

Concerns for Young Staff

Kuenssberg concluded: "People do things. And human behaviour is a complicated thing and sometimes people behave badly. There is still a concern in Westminster that particularly young people starting out are sometimes very vulnerable."

A cross-party report from 2018 revealed that approximately one in five individuals employed at Parliament reported experiencing sexual harassment or witnessing inappropriate conduct.

Broadcaster Piers Morgan responded to Kuenssberg's latest interview, simply tweeting: "Whoa..." accompanied by a series of fire emojis.
